Ambulance driver misbehaves with COVID-19 victim while taking to hospital

An unfortunate incident has taken place in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. An ambulance carrying a coroner to the hospital has caused a stir in the area. The incident took place in Pathanamthita, Kerala. The driver was reportedly fired on Saturday night.
According to police, the accused was on his way to Coved Hospital on Saturday with an elderly man and the victim. Halfway through, the elderly man was rushed to a hospital, where he was rushed to Pandalam Hospital. Instead of being taken to a hospital, the driver took her to a public place and raped her. Surprised by the incident, Kerala Health Minister KK Shailja called on the police to take stern action against the accused.
Sexual harassment cases against Covid-19 patients have been reported across the country. Two people were arrested in July at the Covid Care Center in Delhi on charges of molesting a minor Covid-19 patient.
