BJP women's front vice-president shot dead in West Bengal; Hospitalized in critical condition

The vice-president of the BJP's Mahila Morcha was seriously injured in an unidentified gunman's shooting this afternoon (Monday) in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.
According to police sources, Radharani Naskar, a vice-president of the Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha in Bishnupur area of South 24 Pargana district, was sitting in front of her house in Raghudebpur village when some unidentified gunmen came and shot her. The BJP women leader, who was seriously injured in the shooting, was admitted to the SSKM Hospital in Kolkata for treatment, the West Bengal BJP said.
On the other hand, the BJP and the Trinamool Congress are now at loggerheads in West Bengal over the incident. BJP MP Loket Chatterjee has accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of trying to silence Radharani, the leader of the women's front. However, the Trinamool Congress has denied the allegations, saying it was the result of a BJP factional dispute. No one has been arrested so far as police have launched an investigation into the incident.
